Venue Booker Verity Deaville aka ‘Verity Venue’ writes an honest review on some of her favourite venues and this month she has chosen the brand new Drayton Manor Park hotel in Tamworth, Staffordshire:

Verity Venue’s View

This is a brand new hotel that opened in August 2011 and is a lovely modern venue that can cater for both corporate, celebration and wedding events. They have three main suites, The Tower Suite, The Hamilton Suite and the Park View Suite. The Tower Suite has a capacity of up to 500 people so great for large business meetings, exhibitions, grand banquets and huge celebrations. The Hamilton Suite has a capacity of up to l70 people, and the Park view suite holds 200 but don’t let the sizes of the these rooms put you off holding a smaller meeting at Drayton Manor as the hotel also has three executive boardrooms that holds space for 12 delegates so great for interviews, training or board meetings.

Celebration Events

The hotel is already busy with weddings, parties, and christenings and it’s not hard to see why, the food is excellent, the staff are friendly and have clearly been well trained in customer service so for a family celebration Drayton Manor Hotel is a wise choice. The venue can cater for most size events, Asian weddings, larger events and dinners. There are 150 high standard bedrooms so plenty accommodation for guests to stay over.

Corporate Events

When we arrived we were slightly concerned that the hotel would not be suitable for corporates but we were pleasantly surprised at the standard of the hotel for business use. There is a Thomas the Tank engine theme throughout the whole of the hotel, but they tend to use one side of the hotel for families and one side for corporates. I would however suggest that any corporate bookings request breakfast to be set up in a private room and this is offered by the hotel. I would also advise against booking any corporate events during the school holidays but other than that it really is a fantastic brand new venue to host a business event, conference, team day or private dinner.

The hotel can combine theme park tickets with the DDR package making it a perfect team building and fun venue. Finally, Drayton Manor Park has a £1 million cinema 4d  which can seat 152 guests.
