Verity Venue’s View:
This delightful and prestigious venue is divided into four sections, the Mansion House, the Parklands, the County Club and Warren Weir. The Mansion is the heart of the venue with stunning architecture, set in formal gardens designed by Capability Brown. The architects of the Ritz Hotel, Charles Mewes and Arthur Davis remodeled the house in the early 20th century and today Luton Hoo continues to hold its place as one of the best English luxury hotels. In fact Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh stayed in the Mansion for part of their honeymoon.
What I liked about Luton Hoo is the mixture of old and new, the 18th Century (20th remodel) style of the Mansion coupled with the modern conference rooms making this venue ideal for clients looking for 5 star service. The extensive grounds can be used for team building events and the location is fab for London as Luton Parkway railway station provides speedy access to London, and junction 10 of the M1 and Luton Airport are both very close.
Corporate Events and Incentive Trips
The Mansion is a lovely setting for a meeting, conference or dinner and offers several unique rooms including the Romanov Suite (see pic) that has a cathedral like feel perfect for a private dinner or small product launch. The Country Club is set within the Grade II listed Robert Adam courtyard which previously formed the stables of the Mansion and is ideal for conferences up to 130 theatre style. The Parklands is a modern building next to the Mansion that offers three meeting rooms ideal for smaller meetings up to 32 cabaret.
The Warren Weir is a little distance from the Mansion and can cater for larger events up to 400, Heads of State and large corporates book the Warren Weir for privacy as it’s a self-contained setting that is totally discreet. The day delegate and 24hr rate offers a good selection of mid morning and afternoon snacks and the lunch options are of high quality. Dinner can be served in their modern brasserie or tables can be booked in the Wernher restaurant boasting two coveted AA Rosettes (jackets required) so you have a good choice if booking a residential event.
Celebration and Wedding Events
The whole venue is stunning for celebrations and in particular for weddings, with the architecture, service and quality of food. Brides can hold their wedding breakfast in the stunning converted Orthodox Russian Chapel (Romanov Suite see pic) or the intimate walnut panelled Churchill Room and the Faberge Suite that use to house one of the world’s richest collections of Faberge pieces. Many brides get married in the elegant sitting room or library both are licensed for the ceremony.
Luton Hoo can cater for small and large weddings and parties to 280 guests in the Mansion House and their formal gardens offer the perfect backdrop for the wedding photographs. Availability of bedrooms is not a problem as Luton Hoo offers 228 bedrooms across the site. For larger wedding up to 400, couples can hire exclusive use of the Warren Weir offering a very private venue. Plus they have a dedicated wedding coordinator for both sites to help take care of every detail.
