Verity Venue’s View:
I can best describe this hotel as ‘elegant’ and the most perfect venue to host a executive smaller meeting or dinner. The hotel has five meeting rooms, The Loggia that takes 40 theatre opens onto a private Royal Entrance from Hyde Park which can be used for special occasions with permission from the Royal Parks. Their ballroom is the biggest room taking 250 theatre/banquet and this is really quite special as HM Queen Elizabeth II learned to dance in this room with her sister, the late Princess Margaret. The three rooms in-between are The Carlyle and Rosebery Rooms 60 theatre, Asquith/ Balfour take 40 theatre. On a summers evening the Hotel’s Mandarin Terrace overlooking Hyde Park that can be used when hiring the ballroom.
The bedrooms are well designed and I would recommend booking a room with a view though if staying for a few days. Whilst we visited the house guards trooped past the window on their way to the Palace! Lovely bars, lounge for afternoon tea and Heston Blumenthal’s restaurant.
The hotel offers a competitive day delegate rate and bedroom group rates differ depending on the time of year.
Anything else to add that makes this venue special
The stainless steel swimming pool
Heston Blumenthal’s restaurant– menu inspired by historical recipes from Medieval England
The flowers – the hotel has a fantastic in-house florist
